Meera’s Performance Comes Under Attack By Shooters Outside Theatre

Popular actress Meera came under attack in Faisalabad as two unidentified men reportedly opened fire outside a venue she was performing. The Baaji star was set to launch her stage play Selfie Queen on Friday when the terrible incident took place.

It seems like the country is becoming more and more chaotic as recent incidents nationwide have created fear among the public. Recently, Meera experienced a terrifying incident herself firsthand as two men opened fire outside her theatre. The veteran Lollywood star was set to perform in a stage drama at the Sabina Theatre in Chenab Chowk, Faisalabad when the two unidentified men opened fire. Luckily, no casualty has been reported.

According to the CCTV footage of the incident, the two men approached the theatre’s gate and fired aerial shots. The unidentified shooters even grabbed the security guard’s weapon.

The police have started an investigation into the shooting but no FIR has been filed as of yet.

Speaking to a media outlet, the Baaji star was saddened and traumatized by the whole incident and the current state of things in Pakistan.

“I am deeply saddened to know that bullets are being fired so openly in this country.”

Due to financial strain, Meera was set to launch in her own stage play at Faisalabad on the fateful day of the incident. Titled Selfie Queen, the cast included Azeem Vicky, Aslam Chatta, Shahid Hashmi, Gamma BA, Anisha Khan, Sheila Chaudhry and Manahil Noor among others
